all the way from Costa Rica.  Isn’t he adorable!!!  I am so glad his mommy made an appointment to see me while they are in town visiting family because he is just too darn cute!   I promised I would share a few from our session, I can’t wait to show them them the rest!    

Meet little *G* not only is he adorable, he is…well will grow up to be buddies with my original basket baby that I posted a few months ago….since their mom’s grew up together, and their grandmothers are great friends.  I wanted to try something different for his session and had picked up this basket a few weeks ago, and could not wait to give it a try.  It looked pretty comfy to me, and as you can see by the smile on his face, he was pretty happy in there.  :)  I’m sure I will post more once I proof his session, but just wanted to put a little teaser out there for his beautiful family to see.

I’ve had the honor of being a part of the Tampa Artist Emporium going on almost a year now.  The gallery is filled with the works of some of the most talented people I’ve met, painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelry artists and the list goes on.  They opened the new location today on Bay to Bay in the Starbucks Plaza, right next to Let’s Eat and you must go check them out.  They hold monthly Art Mixers the second Saturday of the month, from 5-9 and the first one in the new location will be Saturday, November 8th. I just got some of my new work up on Friday, some things you haven’t even seen yet, so it will be a nice treat if you are able to stop by.  One cute little man that you will be sure to see and will melt your heart is this little guy.  This is a little teaser for his mommy too, she is patiently waiting on her gallery, which is taking a little longer than normal due to the holiday madness, but I promise it will be worth the wait.  :)    

I just got an email today from Pottery Barn (which just so happens to be my other love/obsession)  and they had a great little video about creating a wall to tell your personal story, so I thought I would share it.  You know I want everyone to have one of these in their home.  If I can ever get my 18 month olds to sit still for a second maybe I can have one of these in my home too, or at least one that shows more than the back of their heads…   Hope you enjoy! Pottery Barn Family Wall   (more…)

It’s better late than never to announce my mini-sessions which are perfect if you had a session earlier this year and just need to get that adorable image for your holiday cards, gifts for the grandparents, etc or if you want to get a taste of what a full session is like. The date will be Saturday October 18th at the USF Botanical Gardens starting at 9:30.  Sessions will be 20 minutes, you will receive an online gallery of the best 10-12 images, one 8×10, two 5×7s and 50 5×7 flat holiday cards for $300.  Additional prints may be ordered as well as a few extra add-on items will be offered.  Please email me at jennifer@jennifergriffinphotography.com if you are interested in scheduling a session, this is the only date and I will schedule on a first come first serve basis, when they are gone they are gone, so contact me asap if you are interested.     And just for fun, here is one of my favorites from my first holiday session of the season…..   

I’ve had the pleasure of working with this beautiful little girl twice now, and she just makes me smile every-time I see her.   I have many more I will be sharing of her and her brother (who is just as adorable by the way) and I am sure you will see quite a few of them on my website when I find some time to update it.   Since its been awhile I thought I would share this quick one taken at the Hyde Park Arts Festival on Saturday.     

Isn’t this little guy just so sweet and peaceful.  He slept like a champ for me, here are a few favorites from his session.     

I love it when I have a mom-to-be who is up for just about anything, and I love it even more when I get to photograph the little miracle that was inside her tummy.  The sweetest little subject, little *A*.  Congrats, he is perfect!!!! Exactly one week later…. 

My September & October schedule is full with the exception of a few openings that I am holding for newborns, so this means that if you wanted to get holiday pictures you will need to contact me to get on my waiting list, there are no guarantees that I will be able to fit you in, but I will contact you if I get a cancelation (in the order I received your request of course…).  I am still trying to work out my mini sessions, unfortunately my schedule is so full I am having a hard time finding a place to do them.  Its likely that I will only have one Saturday mini session and possibly one weekday morning session, so be sure to subscribe to the blog if you want to be the first to know, because I expect them to fill fast.
