I promise, I didn’t fall off the face of the earth!

To say its been a long time since I’ve posted a update to my blog is an understatement! I have a million excuses… a new blog has been in the works for awhile now ( I hope you enjoy the new layout), the holidays were beyond crazy busy, but my best excuse is that I took some much needed time off to spend with my family. So I decided what better way to kick off my new blog than with a post of our recent vacation up to the mountains of Virginia. When had this trip planned for some time, all I wanted was for my girls to see some snow, being a Florida girl I’ve never seen more than few snow flurries, so needless to say on the drive up as we started to see snow on the ground and rooftops it was exciting for us all! I had no idea when we arrived at our condo that the entire grounds of the resort would be buried in snow, I knew the girls would get to play in snow even if it was manmade, but we got way more of the real stuff than I could have ever hoped for when we arrived. It was one of our best family vacations to date, I have to admit it was my idea, my husband agreed only for my sake, we decided to drive because the snow suits & boots alone took up an entire storage container, not to mention dealing with 3 car seats in the airport did not sound like fun, so we said a prayer loaded up the suburban and gave it a try. We spent every waking minute playing in the snow, tubing making snowballs, sledding and drinking hot chocolate. I was beyond proud of my girls, the drive was long and exhausting but we all agreed (even my husband) that the memories & experiences we have from this trip will go down as one of our best family vacations ever! Needless to say, we intend to make many more *snow-trips*.

Thanks for sharing. Our boys are almost men and they have never seen snow. The pictures are great and I’m happy to see you in a few.

So CUTE!! Glad you had a blast! Next time though you’ll have to come to CT. Imagine the fun all 6 kids would have together. LOL!

Jennifer! Soooooo glad your sweeties experienced the simple pleasure of SNOW.
I too get so excited every first snowfall of the year…bringing me back to being a child out there for hours at a time, cold, soaking wet, tired and still not wanting to come inside! These will be fond memories for years to come.
