Be still my heart…

My baby girls turned 3 today, how it happened so quickly I don’t know…. I can clearly recall waddling around shooting a maternity session the afternoon of the 27th just hours before they were born at 38 weeks. It seems impossible that three years has passed since they were born. For the past few weeks I’ve told them that I was going to cry on their birthday because I didn’t want them to be *big girls* and Addi replied “its okay mommy, I’ll save you… next time I’ll be little again.” and Anni my super sensitive one would just tell me “its okay” and kiss me. I’ve been in denial for awhile now, but its clear to me now that they are *big girls*, so independent, they carry on conversations amongst themselves that literally bring me tears of joy. I’ve always heard of the “twin bond” wondered if it was real or if it was only with identical twins…. My girls certainly have a bond that has been incredible to witness and it becomes more and more apparent each day. They are so incredibly close to one another, yet so completely different and individual. It has been an amazing journey thus far, as sad as I am that the baby and toddler years are behind us, I am beyond excited to see what the year ahead will bring. Its hard to believe that my oldest was only 3.5 when they were born, and now she is a 6.5 reading, riding a bike, and even texting her daddy…. :0 She has been the best big sister, better than I could have ever hoped for. The girls adore her and she adores them, it just makes my heart smile to see them love on each other. So as the day came to an end, I looked back at their hospital pictures and decided I would share a few from then and now….

Baby Emerson almost ONE…{Tampa Baby Photographer}

I love watching all the newborns I photograph grow up, its one of the perks of my job. I am always amazed at how much they have grown and how their little personalities are just blooming. Little Emerson will turn one in a few weeks, and I am floored at how much she looks like her big sister. She was such a happy little thing during her session, here are a couple that just make me smile!

Basket Baby turns two – Tampa Family Photographer

My most famous “Basket Baby” turns 2! Remember Baby *C*… He actually turned two a few months ago, but as you can see I am a bit behind on my blog posts, and he is just too darn cute to leave off the blog. I can still remember when little *C*’s grandmother-to-be called me to discuss a session, she was so excited to meet her little grandson. That was over two years ago now, and I’ve had the pleasure of watching little *C* grow up. He has the sweetest parents who adore him to pieces, it has been great getting to know this family! I had so many favorites from his session I’m going a bit overboard sharing….:)

I promise, I didn’t fall off the face of the earth!

To say its been a long time since I’ve posted a update to my blog is an understatement! I have a million excuses… a new blog has been in the works for awhile now ( I hope you enjoy the new layout), the holidays were beyond crazy busy, but my best excuse is that I took some much needed time off to spend with my family. So I decided what better way to kick off my new blog than with a post of our recent vacation up to the mountains of Virginia. When had this trip planned for some time, all I wanted was for my girls to see some snow, being a Florida girl I’ve never seen more than few snow flurries, so needless to say on the drive up as we started to see snow on the ground and rooftops it was exciting for us all! I had no idea when we arrived at our condo that the entire grounds of the resort would be buried in snow, I knew the girls would get to play in snow even if it was manmade, but we got way more of the real stuff than I could have ever hoped for when we arrived. It was one of our best family vacations to date, I have to admit it was my idea, my husband agreed only for my sake, we decided to drive because the snow suits & boots alone took up an entire storage container, not to mention dealing with 3 car seats in the airport did not sound like fun, so we said a prayer loaded up the suburban and gave it a try. We spent every waking minute playing in the snow, tubing making snowballs, sledding and drinking hot chocolate. I was beyond proud of my girls, the drive was long and exhausting but we all agreed (even my husband) that the memories & experiences we have from this trip will go down as one of our best family vacations ever! Needless to say, we intend to make many more *snow-trips*.

3 handsome little men…. Tampa Child Photographer

In one week I had the pleasure of photographing these 3 little guys all who were celebrating their 1st Birthdays. I photographed them all as newborns and I can honestly say that time flies, it seems like yesterday I was photographing each of them and curling them up as a newborn. I am always honored when families bring their little ones back for me to photograph them again, I just love watching my little clients grow and see their personalities start to shine. Happy Late Birthday Boys!!!
